Card: Hello

Another card created from scraps! As soon as saw this card with the balloons I knew it would make a sweet card. I embellished the front a bit with sequins, an October Afternoon journaling card, and a flair from Ormolu.

Layout: Little Swimmer

I completed this layout as a part of a little challenge my scrappy pals and I shared over the weekend. We all got on video chat and one person issued a 'recipe' of sorts to follow. I cheated. Kind of like substituting applesauce for butter or oil. Also like adding extra chocolate chips to pancakes. I like to be creative in the kitchen and rarely follow a recipe to a T.

In creating this layout I used pennants from my Scraptastic Kit, removing then from their stick and threading them onto some twine. I then added four different washi tapes to finish the banner. I really like the look of that banner and intend to try it again!

Layout: Totally EB

For National Scrapbook Day (weekend) the Young Scrappers organized festivities of our own that complimented any other challenges being held in all corners of the Internet. Knowing we all wanted to play along with different challenges here and there, we came up with recipe challenges, scraplift challenges, and all sorts of fun games that we could play via video chat. I know I had a blast, and even though I only have 3 layouts to show for the weekend, I had some major mojo! (The laundry fairy failed to show up at my house to help out)

This layout is a scraplift of Monica Blain's Spooky Dog. I love how she had the phrase stickers running down the side of the page and the layout of the photo.

My dear, sweet, sometimes violent Eureka:

Layout: At 7 months

I have had this idea floating around in my head since the challenge to use numbers was issued on the Scraptastic Blog. I used thickers and alphabet stickers from my stash with bits of the March Mr. Brightside kit I had remaining.

Layout: Love You

I was inspired by the April Sketch Challenge at Scraptastic kit Club. I used some remaining bits from the April 8 Days A Week kit. I love how versatile this kit has been- I have scrapped using mainly pink,   all the colors of the rainbow, and now greens and blue.

Layout: You Are So Beautiful

When I saw the banner cut out sheet by Theresa Collins in the 8 Days a Week Scraptastic Kit,  I knew I had to create a banner for this layout. I picked out all of the pink and grey shades and laid them on a scrap of pleated ribbon I found in the craft room (strown about to distract the cat, I'm sure!).
I created the first paint drops with acrylic paint by accident, as I was Playing around trying to come up with an alternative to spray ink. While I was playing, a certain unhelpful cat made her way onto my craft table causing my experiment to become permanent. Luckily I liked the look and it went perfectly with the color scheme.

Tell me about a time when you had an accidentally awesome mistake!

Layout: And Though She Be Little...

She is fierce.

There is a bit of journaling about Millie's new found willfulness and independence tucked in the Whiskers Graphics bitty bag.
